An unlicensed driver who tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis was arrested after crashing his unregistered, uninsured, and defective car in Whyalla on Thursday, 10 August.
Police responded to reports of a car doing burnouts in Whyalla Playford around 3pm and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it drove away.
Shortly afterwards, police heard a loud noise and discovered the vehicle had crashed into a fence and shed.
The driver attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by the patrol.
The 38-year-old Whyalla Playford man was arrested and charged with numerous traffic offences, including misuse of a motor vehicle, driving without due care, resisting police, and more.
He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded.
