Two women dead after drowning incident in Streaky Bay

A search has ended in tragedy after the bodies of two women were pulled from the waters in Streaky Bay.

Emergency services were called near Back Beach about 11:15am on Tuesday, following reports that two women had gone missing in the ocean while walking in the shallows.

A 67-year-old woman from Sturt and a 65-year-old woman from Streaky Bay were both pulled from the water but couldn’t be revived.
