Annual shorebird monitoring on the Eyre Peninsula has returned some positive results.

One-hundred Fairy Terns were sighted on St Peters Island, 27 critically-endangered Eastern Curlews were spotted, and 34 Hooded Plovers were seen – including 11 fledged juveniles and two chicks.

The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board say it was great to work with the Far West Coast Rangers who led the surveys at critical breeding and feeding sites.
