Port Lincoln’s SALT Festival wrapped up on Sunday, 28 April, and organiser Jack Ritchie says it was the biggest one yet.
“Lots of sold out shows, lots of very happy people, and so many members of the community involved as artists, creatives or volunteers,” Mr Ritchie says.
The festival connected local and visiting artists.
“With local artists and creatives, there were just so many involved in so many different projects.
“‘Night of the Nudibranch: SALT on the Water’ – I think we had around 16 local artists involved in that, all creating and working on lanterns and fire murals, and obviously they’re working with two visiting artists as well.
“The way everybody worked together and created this amazing event – that was wonderful to see.”
Organisers are already thinking about how to make SALT Festival 2025 even better.
“We’ve had lots of learnings from this year’s festival, we’ll apply those for the 2025 event.
“We’re looking at… what things really worked and we can build on, what things didn’t work and that we can learn from.
“Everybody’s spending a little bit of time catching their breath, but also wrapping up this one and preparing for the next.”
