As it held marine science forums in Port Lincoln yesterday, SA Water have announced the establishment of a desalination plant reference group made up of local residents.
Feedback from the group, made up of members of SA Water, the Port Lincoln and Lower Eyre councils, local RDA and other organisations, will help inform a development submission for the plant and highlight specific concerns.
The group will be consulted on a number of aspects of the project, including additional marine science research, engineering design and plant operation.

Speaking at its forums yesterday, the organisations General Manager of Sustainable Infrastructure, Amanda Lewry, said they’re looking for representation across the community.
