Cleve Area School students will be the first in line to get a Google Chromebook laptop made in South Australia.
A pilot program is taking place here and in Murray Bridge before the rest of the state’s public high school students take part.
Trade and Investment Minister Nick Champion says it follows a partnership between the global tech giant and South Australian firm, Allied.
“Google have very high standards for the assembly of their Chromebook, and Allied have met those standards, Minister Champion says.
“It’s the first manufacturer anywhere in Australia to do so.”
