A local teacher ran 100 km last weekend (25-26 November) and raised over $5,000 for the Movember Foundation.
Josh Partington undertook the challenge as part of his Run245 initiative, representing the 2,455 Australian men who lost their lives to suicide in 2022.
Running along the Port Lincoln foreshore in 5 km bursts, he was joined by friends, family and supporters throughout the weekend.
“Going into the weekend, I didn’t envision running 90 of the 100 km’s with people – I thought it was going to be the other way around,” Mr Partington said to the crowd gathered for celebratory drinks.

He is considering continuing his fundraising efforts next year.
“If it’s not for Movember specifically, then for another cause.
“I think it’s nice to challenge yourself and do something that’s a bit out of your comfort zone; it’s a great way to get some support and some donations.”
