South Australian Police will conduct fresh searches in and around Port Lincoln this week to locate the remains of alleged murder victim Julian Story.
Detectives allege the 39-year-old was murdered by his partner, 34-year-old Tamika Chesser, in their home on 17 June.
Major Crime Detectives, local Eyre Western police and support services will search several new sites with specialist equipment.
CCTV Footage and community assistance have helped in the investigation.
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said earlier searches were unsuccessful, but new leads have now emerged.
“By undertaking these renewed searches, we hope to find Julian’s missing remains, which will give comfort to his family and allow them to peacefully lay him to rest,” he said.
It comes as his family prepare for his farewell, with a service to be held in August.
