After a busy weekend on the Spencer Gulf, the Gather Round Community Footy Roadshow tour has touched down on the Eyre Peninsula.
The AFL and SANFL Premiership Cups will visit Memorial Oval in Whyalla today, 19 March, as well as local schools and football clubs, followed by a visit to the Whyalla Community Library tomorrow.
Thursday will see visits to Kimba, Wudinna, Lock and Cleve schools – and Friday will see them at Cowell Area School, Port Neill Primary School, Ungarra Primary School, and Centenary Oval in Port Lincoln.
SANFL’s Head of Game Development Brad Humphrey says putting more resources into the regional roadshow is a no-brainer after last year.
“We were overwhelmed with the response from the Gather Round Roadshow from last year, and that reinforced the fact that we’re very keen to continue to invest in it and demonstrate to regional communities how highly we value their contribution.”
