Oyster farmers have blockaded a site at Haslam to stop trucks carrying oysters from waters affected by the algal bloom.
The Eyre Peninsula growers saidhey were blindsided by the government’s decision to approve the movement of the oysters from Franklin Harbour.
They’ve raised concerns about the potential spread of the algae, ith many protesters saying they wouldn’t leave the site until they got confirmation the Franklin Harbour oysters were safe.
