Operations at Port Lincoln Salvation Army took a hit with the recent vandalism of their donation bin.
Store Manager Greg Pryor says it was bad timing with the wet weather at the start of the month.
“We had a lot of donations left outside of the bin, he says.
“There was a great clean-up where our volunteers had to go out and, basically, garbage bag all of the stuff that was on the floor and it all had to go to the dump because it was all wet and damaged.”
Another bin has been installed for out-of-hours donations, and donations can also be made directly in-store during opening hours.
