The Adelaide Fringe Festival is coming to our region with the support of a new grant program.
Live Music Grants injected $50,000 into the state’s live music scene, and was open to independent, small to medium-sized venues across South Australia.
Adelaide Fringe Executive Director of Programs and Development Jo O’Callaghan says this funding is vital for arts in regional areas like the Eyre Peninsula.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to work together to try and increase participation from artists and audiences in regional centres, Ms O’Callaghan says.
“Part of our values is inclusion, and often people in regional centres don’t have access to as much arts and culture as people who live in metro and city areas… distance should never be a barrier for people to be able to participate in arts and culture.”
