A 50-year-old man has been fined after police received information about fireworks being set off in Streaky Bay on Sunday, 18 June.
Between 1am and 6:30am, police attended Mabie Road and fined the culprit $409 for unlawful use of firearms without a licence.
Police are reminding the public of the dangers of using illegal fireworks, with risks varying from causing significant physical harm to starting a fire.
