Regional housing developments could get a guaranteed leg up if a new Bill passes Federal Parliament.
The ‘Unlocking Regional Housing Bill’ would allocate 30 per cent of the Government’s housing spend to regional areas to help local Councils build vital infrastructure faster.
Federal Member Helen Haines says it’s about addressing the capital city bias and giving our regions the chance to grow.
