Police worked alongside the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and Marine Safety SA to provide a high visibility presence throughout the Eyre West area on Wednesday, 14 June.
The operation – coinciding with Operation Safe Roads and Rural Highways – was undertaken to deter road users from participating in behaviours that could lead to serious or fatal crashes.
One arrest and three reports occurred throughout the operation, alongside 155 expiations and 93 defect notices.
Out of 1,134 breath tested drivers, only one recorded a positive result, and out of 29 drug tests, six drivers returned a positive reading with two instant loss of licences.
Police are warning motorists they will be continuing their efforts to prioritise traffic and road compliance to reduce injury and death on the roads.
