Damaging wind warning issued for EP

A warning has been issued for damaging winds developing over the Eyre Peninsula and West Coast today.

The SES say north to northwesterly wind gusts reaching 90 km/h are possible this morning over the West Coast, extending to the Eyre Peninsula and North West pastoral districts by midday.

Winds are expected to ease in the afternoon, shifting southwesterly and following the passage of the front as it progresses east.

Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Ceduna, Wudinna, Elliston, Cleve and Tumby bay.

The SES advises residents to move vehicles under cover or away from trees, secure loose items around their property, and stay indoors and away from windows when conditions are severe.
