Campaign Encouraging Locals to Get Booster Shot

A new ad campaign encouraging residents to get a COVID booster shot kicked off over the weekend.

According to Department of Health data, almost 72 per cent of Whyalla residents 16 years and older have received their third dose, whilst only 45 per cent of locals 30 years and older have received their fourth dose.

There is no current recorded data for other Eyre Peninsula towns.

Federal Health Minister, Mark Butler, says we’re expecting more waves of the virus as the cold weather approaches.
