The Business Council of Australia says the nation’s future is dependent on unlocking the potential of regional industries and communities.
It comes with the release of a report, ‘Seize the Moment’, which outlines six key areas of improvement capable of growing the economy by $200 billion.
BCA Chief Executive Jennifer Westacott says more can be done to harness the value of regional industries – including mining, agriculture and clean energy.
The potential and setbacks for these industries on the Eyre Peninsula were all mentioned at The Advertiser’s Bush Summit last Tuesday, 15 August.
