Eyre Peninsula smokers may soon have more reasons to quit the habit, as the price of tobacco products is set to climb.
Outlined yesterday, tobacco products will be taxed an extra five per cent a year over the next three years, starting from September.
This followed news over $200 million will be set aside to crack down on e-cigarettes, including new controls on their importation and packaging.

Local retailers who sell those products are set to be ones most under pressure, with the Federal and State Governments working together to shut down the sale of vapes in retail and convenience stores.
