Wednesday Races – Community Club Challenge

Port Lincoln Racing Club warmly invites your registered non-profit/ community group to participate in the Sportsbet Community Club Challenge, held within the Port Lincoln Cup Carnival on Wednesday 25 February, 2026. 

The Port Lincoln Cup Carnival is just around the corner ,with a two day carnival planned for Wednesday 25 and Friday 27 Feb. Our major partner, Sportsbet, has provided us with $4000 to put towards Community Clubs as an opportunity to fundraise for the wonderful causes across our region. We have set this prize money towards a barrier draw on day one of our racing carnival. 

All that is required of a community club to be eligible for this barrier draw prize money is nominate 6 (or more!) representatives of a community group/ registered not for profit to attend the races on Wednesday 25 Feb. Sportsbet will allocate each represented club a barrier for every race, and for every race that we hold with the club in attendance, if the horse out of the club’s nominated barrier wins/places, the club will receive a share of the $4000 in prize money. There’s 8 races on the day, so quite a few opportunities to receive a generous donation. 

We think it’s an amazing way to bring our local clubs together for a fun day out, and receive a great cash injection too! We’re extending hospitality to include free entry and light refreshments for your club on the day.  

Register and attend with six or more members of your community group to participate in a fundraising challenge for your club. Free entry, race book and light refreshments provided.
