Please Join Lee Clayton at the Port Lincoln RSL and Museum on Monday 26th Feb to Friday 1st March and from 10am -2pm daily and dive into the history with stories of Port Lincoln and Lower Eyre Peninsula People that defended Australia. Oscar Eric Baumann was born in 1896 in Hahndorf SA, and become a Sergeant in the Australian Infantry Forces a just 19 years of age. Trenchgraves were discovered in 2008 where 250 bodies were exhumed, and individual body identification begun. Oscar was one of these soldiers and was formally identified in 2023 and now has an individual gravesite at Pheasant Wood. His new headstone will no longer read…….
