Oscar Eric Baumann was born in 1896 in Hahndorf SA, and become a Sergeant in the Australian Infantry Forces a just 19 years of age. Trenchgraves were discovered in 2008 where 250 bodies were exhumed, and individual body identification begun. Oscar was one of these soldiers and was formally identified in 2023 and now has an individual gravesite at Pheasant Wood. His new headstone will no longer read…….
