Free Community Movie Event
Live the Life you Please is a film-led Social impact campaign that will change the way you think about the last chapter of life.
The campaign aims to improve the awareness about Palliative Care, advocate for increased access to essential Palliative Care and related Health care Services for all Australians. and help to start important conversations about Living the Life you Please until the very end.
The Rotary Club of Port Lincoln, The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation and The Book Bazaar present this free movie to all community members, at the Nautilus Art Centre Wednesday 27th September 2023 4.30pm-6.30pm including a Q & A session with the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network Palliative Care Team
Imaging if we treated End of Life the way we Treated Start of Life!
If we celebrated with farewell showers, carefully crafted finishing up plans and coming together as a community. If it was about comfort, choice, independence, family, joy, love wellbeing.
In Australia, expecting mothers are well supported throughout their entire pregnancy. They have access to the word’s best care during the birthing process and their entire young family has access to ongoing support for years after the baby is born.
What if our health system was better set up to support all of us as we approached the end of our lives? If it gave us everything we needed during our last days to make that experience as “good” as possible, and supported our families after we pass away?
Over one million Australians use aged care services and more than 80,000 require palliative care every year, but many of us don’t understand the last chapter of life.
No Bookings required, just present yourself at The Nautilus Art Centre on Wednesday 27th September just before 4.30pm
