Welcome to Budgie Fest 2024! Join us between Noon and 3 PM at the Campbelltown Function Centre for an afternoon filled with all things budgerigars. Facepainting, magic shows, free 5-minute vet checks for your feathered friends, colouring in competitions, and more are on offer for the kids. For the adults, we’ve got our partners at Hentley Farm giving us a taste of some of the Barossa’s finest, and there will also be a live art demonstration. Whether you’re a seasoned budgie enthusiast or just curious about these colourful animated little birds, this FREE FAMILY FUN day is perfect for you. Get ready to enjoy interactive exhibits, educational sessions, and meet other budgie lovers. Can I bring my pet budgie?
Absolutely, we’d love you to bring your feathered friend along. The only guidance is to leave them at home if it is in excess of 32 degrees Celsius, for their benefit.
Is there any cost for the day?
It’s a completely FREE family fun day dedicated to our animated little feathered friends.
Will there be free Vet checks for my bird available, and do I need to book?
There will be free 5-minute vet checks, provided by our partners The Unusual Pet vets. There is no need to book these sessions – it will be on a first come, first served, basis.
How can I enter my budgie in the pet bird competition?
You can pop on over to https://bcsa.com.au/budgie-fest-2024/ and enter your details there. You don’t need to enter or pick a specific category, just enter the details for your bird. The judges will decide on the day, which bird they believe best fits that category. All birds entered will be eligible for all 8 categories, plus the major award of Chirp-Champion.
