With the popularity of WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Google Doc Chat, a Deloitte Mobile Consumer survey found that more than one in four Australians were no longer using their smartphones to make "traditional" phone calls, with 27 per cent saying they made fewer than one phone call per week, instead preferring text-based communication and data-rich plans.

"Voicemail is no longer seen as appropriate or relevant to the younger generation… It takes time, it’s clunky and people don’t want to communicate like that anymore"

So, stop leaving voicemails, send a text or hey… maybe go talk to someone face to face, I think that’s a thing people still do.
