Harry Styles Slips Onstage in Mexico City, Recovers mid slip and Keeps Performing

During his second Mexico City show, Harry Styles slipped over mid-performance, but being the showman that he is, he turned the almost accidental moment into one of the smoothest recoveries of the night.

The 32-year-old singer was performing at GNP Seguros Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 2, as part of his Together, Together Tour when he slipped while skipping across the stage during “Are You Listening Yet?”

Video of the slip is going viral online and shows Harry falling backward onto the stage. Within seconds, he was back on his feet, microphone still in hand, smiling at the crowd and continuing the song without missing a beat.

The incident came one night after Styles’ first Mexico City date was delayed by heavy rain. Addressing the soaked audience that evening, he said: “Viva México! Thank you so much for being here. Is everyone all right? Okay, it’s just like sweating if you think about it. You survived the rain. Thank you for being here. It means so much to us.”

Styles is in the middle of a six-night stay in Mexico City, with the final show scheduled for Aug. 10. The run is part of his 50-date Together, Together global tour supporting the album Kiss All the Time.

The tour has faced a few recent production “slips.” On July 21, the third of four São Paulo shows was cancelled due to “tour illness,” with tickets refunded and the July 24 date proceeding as planned.

In late June, footage from a Wembley Stadium concert showed Styles briefly choking after his signature water-spout “whale” move, leading to a short coughing fit on the ground before he continued. Remaining dates include a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden in New York (Aug. 26–Oct. 31), followed by stops in Melbourne and Sydney.

It’s not even the first time slipping could have caused a problem during his shows back in 2023; at the Love On Tour stop at Ireland’s Slane Castle, he spotted a fan who had fallen in the crowd, immediately stopped the show, checked that they were okay, and asked if the floor was slippery before resuming.

Hopefully slipping doesn’t become a new theme for Harry! But if it does after this recent show, it looks like he has it covered.
