We’ve all told a little white lie before, but are we as guilty as Grammy-winning superstar Kelly Clarkson?
The singer and talk show host has revealed five things she has lied about, including a few sneaky parenting tricks that plenty of mums and dads might find very relatable.
The “It’s Closed” Excuse
In a recent Instagram reel, Clarkson admitted she has told her kids somewhere was closed when it was actually open.
Why?
“I’m just tired, and I don’t wanna have the argument of why we should go,” she confessed. Fair enough. She also revealed she used to bend the truth about bedtime when her kids were too young to tell the time, especially while travelling.
Her Onstage Secret
Clarkson also admitted she has run back on stage after leaving early and told the audience she needed to use the bathroom. But the truth was something else entirely. The Since U Been Gone singer revealed the real reason was “not pee,” before encouraging fans to watch the full video to discover what she was really doing.
She also confessed to using the classic “I must have missed that email” excuse, although she says she genuinely does sometimes miss them. Clarkson recently released her new single, I’d Be Lyin, which she co-wrote with Jason Halbert and Jaco Caraco.
It turns out even Grammy winners tell little white lies.
