If you spent the better part of the last month kicking your feet and giggling over the electric chemistry between Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, you are certainly not alone. The breakout hit of the year, Off Campus, has absolutely dominated our watchlists, turning the fictional halls of Briar University into the internet’s latest obsession.

The numbers speak for themselves. Prime Video has revealed that the series reached a staggering 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days alone. That makes it the number three most-viewed debut season of any series in the platform’s history, sitting comfortably behind absolute heavyweights The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout. Even more impressively, it has officially taken the crown as Prime Video’s most-viewed debut season of all time among women aged 18 to 34.

So, where does a show go after such a massive debut? The answer is simple: it passes the torch.

A New Era of Briar University Romance

Prime Video has officially confirmed that Off Campus Season Two will shift its primary spotlight to the romance between Allie Hayes, played by Mika Abdalla, and Dean Di Laurentis, portrayed by Stephen Kalyn.

For the dedicated readers of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book universe, this structure will feel incredibly familiar. The series is adopting an anthology-style approach to its couples, much like Netflix’s Bridgerton. Each season tracks the journey of a different member of the elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they handle the messiness of young adulthood.

Series creator Louisa Levy shared her excitement about moving Allie and Dean to center stage after laying the groundwork in the first season:

“We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one. But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”

The shift in focus means we are going to see a lot more of Abdalla and Kalyn, both of whom have already proven they have the screen presence to anchor a major series.

Abdalla, who previously led the Hulu comedy Sex Appeal and starred in the 2024 indie darling Snack Shack, brings a wonderful blend of wit and vulnerability to Allie. Kalyn, a Canadian actor best known for his recurring role in the superhero drama Gen V, balances charm and depth as the charismatic Dean.

Season Two will feature returning regulars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli (our beloved Hannah and Garrett), alongside Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, India Fowler, and Belmont Cameli. Broadway star Phillipa Soo is also set to appear in a recurring role.

What to Expect Next

Moving from a massive, record-breaking first season into a secondary chapter always carries a bit of risk, but the creative team behind Off Campus has a proven track record. Co-showrun by Levy and television veteran Gina Fattore (Dawson’s Creek, Gilmore Girls), the series knows exactly how to balance high-stakes college drama with deep emotional maturity.

While the primary relationship focus is changing, the heart of the show remains identical. It is still a story about deep friendships, self-discovery, and navigating those incredibly complicated years of transitioning into adulthood. With millions of fans already hooked, the next semester at Briar University promises to be just as addictive.
