The 2026 Formula 1 season has officially kicked off in Melbourne, and while the roar of the engines is usually the main event, Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc just stole the show in the paddock. The duo wasn’t showing off a new aerodynamic upgrade, instead, they were spotted carrying life-sized, incredibly detailed replicas of their 2025 racing helmets, made entirely out of LEGO.

For motorsport fans who also happen to be brick builders, this stunt marked the global reveal of two highly anticipated new releases: the LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet and the LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet.

Before we dive into the sets you can actually put on your shelf, we need to talk about those life-sized helmets. Carried by Hamilton and Leclerc through the Albert Park paddock, these one-of-a-kind builds were designed by Australian LEGO Certified Professional Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught and his team.

Each helmet weighs a surprisingly hefty 3 kilograms and is constructed from over 3,500 individual bricks (3,516 for Leclerc and 3,744 for Hamilton, to be exact). Taking 60 hours each to assemble, they perfectly capture the striking liveries of the 2025 season. It is a brilliant bit of visual flair to launch the new season, but the best part is that fans can get their hands on a scaled-down version for their own collections.

The two new retail sets are heavily focused on display value and are part of the 14+ age range, making them perfect desk or shelf companions.

The Charles Leclerc Helmet (Set 43014) Coming in at 886 pieces, Charles Leclerc’s helmet is a faithful recreation of his 2025 design. The set features his driver number 16, the iconic prancing horse, and touching tributes to his father and Jules Bianchi. In a major win for collectors, the set also includes a plaque printed with Charles’ signature and, for the first time ever, a LEGO minifigure of the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix winner.

The Lewis Hamilton Helmet (Set 43022) Lewis Hamilton fans finally get a dedicated Ferrari-era collectible. This 884-piece display set features Hamilton’s unique driver number 44 and his own signature plaque. The absolute highlight of this set, however, is the debut of a Lewis Hamilton minifigure officially suited up in his red Scuderia Ferrari HP racing overalls.

John Ho, Model Design Master at the LEGO Group, noted that capturing the unique curves and intricate details of modern F1 helmets presented a fascinating challenge for the design team. Judging by the final product, the attention to detail has absolutely paid off.
