Smoky Bay on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula has been named one of the best beaches in the country, earning a spot in Tourism Australia’s top ten beaches for 2026.
The coastal town ranked number nine nationwide and was the only South Australian location to feature on the list.
The annual rankings are curated by beach expert Brad Farmer, who said the 2026 list highlights quieter, off‑the‑beaten‑track coastal destinations offering a more relaxed beach experience.
