Pour one out.
After shutting roughly half of its stores in 2024, Glue, a clothing retailer has announced it will be shutting down the rest of its stores soon. Glue Store, originally opened all the way back in 1999 and took off by selling products from brands such as Adidas, Nike, and Levi’s.
Accent Group, current owner of Glue, has announced that the remaining stores were still experiencing financial troubles since the closure of 17-stores in 2024. The 16 remaining stores will either be permanently shut or sold by July of this year after experiencing a $8.4 million loss in six months.
As of right now it has not yet been revealed how many employees will be out of work with the announcements of these closures and sales.
