From primal to police custody

US fitness influencer Liver King, best known for eating raw meat and flogging supplements, has found himself in more hot water after launching into a bizarre online tirade aimed at podcaster Joe Rogan.

Real name Brian Johnson, the 47-year-old was arrested in Austin, Texas after flying in and posting a string of shirtless, fur-clad Instagram rants, challenging Rogan to an “honourable” fight, while appearing to hold a gun in each hand.

“Mate, I’ve never met you”

Rogan, 57, told police he’d never interacted with Johnson and only found out about the threats after mates flagged the videos. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Rogan said Johnson seemed “significantly unstable” and that he’d heard the influencer had a “serious drug issue.”

Police arrested Johnson at the Four Seasons Hotel (because primal men love five-star stays, apparently), and charged him with Terroristic Threat, a Class B misdemeanour. He’s now out on AU$30,000 bail, banned from contacting Rogan, and ordered to undergo a mental health check.

From steroids to strange behaviour

Johnson, who once admitted to spending AU$17k a month on steroids despite preaching a “natural” lifestyle, continued posting right up to the arrest, and even after. In one strange post, he referenced Rogan’s comedy club but called the podcaster “some guy.”

Rogan has remained tight-lipped on the whole saga, probably too busy wondering why a shirtless man in a wolf headdress wants to wrestle him.
