First Batch of Port Lincoln Customers To Get Access To NBN Today

NBN Co

The first batch of Port Lincoln residents will soon be able to connect to the NBN fibre to the node network with the first third to be switched on today.

Almost 3200 premises in Port Lincoln will be able to connect to the new network when the switch is flicked on later today.

Another 4000 Port Lincoln residences are expected to be added to the network by October.

Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said that those in the switch on area need to talk to retailers about what plan best suits their needs.

"The first area switched on will be able to apply to service providers to connect to the NBN service from a range of retail providers offering competitive service plans" said Ramsey.

"However customers need to go through this process themselves, the NBN won't just magically contect to their exisiting service".
